Former BBC presenter Huw Edwards’ wife Vicky has revealed she finalised her divorce from him long after she saw him taking child s.3.x im@ges of her own grandchildren: ‘He was absolutely disgusting’

Former BBC presenter Huw Edwards has reportedly split from his wife Vicky Flind after court papers related to charges against him revealed a different address to the family home.

Huw, 62, and wife Vicky, 60, live in a house in Dulwich, south London.

But court documents reveal he is now dividing his time between a new home in Wandsworth, south west London, and one in Wales.

OK! has contacted Huw’s rep for comment.

Vicky is a TV producer who has worked on shows including Peston on ITV and the BBC current affairs series This Week.

The couple met when Huw was a BBC correspondent in Westminster, and they got engaged in 1993. They have three sons and two daughters.

On Monday 29 July, Huw Edwards was charged with making indecent images of children, following a police investigation. Police confirmed he was arrested in November 2023 and was charged in June. He will appear in court on Wednesday.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Huw Edwards, 62, of Southwark, London, has been charged with three counts of making indecent images of children following a Met Police investigation. The offences, which are alleged to have taken place between December 2020 and April 2022, relate to images shared on a WhatsApp chat.”

The police statement continued: “Edwards was arrested on November 8, 2023. He was charged on Wednesday, June 26, following authorisation from the Crown Prosecution Service. He has been bailed to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, July 31. Media and the public are strongly reminded that this is an active case. Nothing should be published, including on social media, which could prejudice future court proceedings.”

Huw was best known as one of the BBC’s most established news readers, and was a regular presenter of their flagship Ten O’Clock News. He covered many major political events and also announced the death of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022 and covered the funerals of both the Queen and Prince Philip as well as the coronation of Charles III and Camilla.

The BBC confirmed in April that Huw was no longer working for them, after it was announced that he had resigned following claims of alleged misconduct. The BBC released a statement at the time which read: “Huw Edwards has today resigned and left the BBC. After 40 years of service, Huw has explained that his decision was made on the basis of medical advice from his doctors. The BBC has accepted his resignation which it believes will allow all parties to move forward. We don’t believe it appropriate to comment further.”
