Loose Women’s Ruth Langsford was back on the panel of the ITV daytime show on Monday for the first time in two months following her split from husband Eamonn Holmes.
Ruth Langsford made a triumphant return to Loose Women on Monday (July 22) after a two-month hiatus following her split from husband Eamonn Holmes.
The 64-year-old was warmly welcomed by fellow panellists Coleen Nolan, Janet Street-Porter, and Brenda Edwards.
Before Ruth could kick off the show, Coleen interjected: “Wait, wait, wait, before you carry on, can I just say I am so so happy you’re back.”
The live audience erupted in cheers and applause for the ITV host, prompting an appreciative “Aw” and a broad smile from Ruth.
She then took a moment to thank her co-stars and audience, looking directly into the camera.
Janet chimed in with: “Thank God, Thank God, I was left with her” as Brenda chuckled and clapped.
“I’m sorry Janet, I won’t do it again,” Ruth responded, adding: “I thought you were going to talk about long-lost dogs for a second!”
Coleen quipped: “I wanted to be nice to start with!” reports Wales Online.
Ruth has been a staple on the ITV talk show Loose Women since 1999, stepping up to the role of presenter in 2013.
She and Eamonn were introduced by mutual friends in 1997, dated for over a decade before Eamonn proposed, and tied the knot in 2010.
The TV duo, who formerly co-hosted This Morning, announced their separation in May.
Following the announcement, Ruth immediately took a break from work while Eammon continued his presenting duties on GB News, acknowledging the split by expressing gratitude to fans for their support.
The return of Ruth to the popular daytime show, Loose Women on Monday was greeted with immense joy by fans who quickly took to the social media platform, X (formerly known as Twitter), to express their excitement.
One thrilled viewer wrote: “Yay Ruth and Coleen”, while another voiced out: “Looking forward to seeing Ruth back!”
