Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck Are Having “Deeper Issues” Than Initially Reported

It’s pretty widely known that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are going through a rough patch in their marriage as divorce rumors continue to swirl. However, many don’t know the real reason behind their marital issues. According to People, previous reports about Affleck being intimated by Lopez’s level of fame weren’t entirely true. In fact, the problems run even deeper.
“The idea that Ben thinks Jennifer is too famous and that he didn’t know what he was getting into with the attention on their marriage isn’t true,” the insider said. “There are deeper issues.”

Neither Lopez nor Affleck acknowledged their two-year wedding anniversary, which took place this week. They even spent the day on opposite coasts, though Lopez was with his daughter Violet in the Hamptons. While the two are currently living totally separate lives, they’re reportedly not throwing in the towel yet.

A source previously told Us Weekly that there is still a “sliver of hope” as neither of them have “made a decision” yet about their relationship. A separate insider said they are taking this time to figure things out.
“They are going through so much individually and as a couple. They may take some time to see if this complicated moment can resolve itself and they come back to each other [as] better people,” the insider said, adding that Lopez and Affleck do not “hate each other” but are just going through “difficult times.”
Earlier this week, Lopez was spotted spending time with Affleck’s eldest child, Violet, in the Hamptons. The step-mother and daughter duo were seen heading to grab a bite to eat at 75 Main, where they met up with Violet’s friend, Cassidey Fralin. At one point, Lopez and Violet walked with their arms around each other.
