Cat Deeley found herself at the center of social media backlash following an on-air blunder during This Morning.

made an unfortunate slip-up while discussing The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe as part of a World Book Day segment.

by showcasing photos of children across the country dressed as their favorite literary characters. The segment included costumes inspired by Harry Potter, Bluey, Barbie, and many other beloved figures from books.

However, things took an awkward turn when Cat attempted to introduce a child dressed as Aslan, the iconic lion from The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. Instead of correctly pronouncing the name “Aslan,” she mistakenly referred to the character as “Asian.”

As the image appeared on screen, she said: “Asian and the White Witch from The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.”
