STILL NOT LETTING GO: Megan Thee Stallion is determined to make Tory Lanez rot in prison as she releases new evidence to accuse him.

Megan Thee Stallion’s ongoing defamation lawsuit has taken a significant turn, with new legal

proceedings involving her former partner, rapper Tory Lanez. The latest development in the case indicates that Megan’s legal team is intensifying its efforts to gather crucial testimony that could shed light on the involvement of Lanez in the alleged defamation campaign against her.

According to Rolling Stone, Megan’s attorneys officially filed a motion on February 24 in the United States

District Court. The primary purpose of this legal request was to secure a deposition from Tory Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson. A deposition is a legal procedure in which an individual is questioned under oath outside of a courtroom setting, typically as part of the evidence-gathering process in a lawsuit. In this case, Megan’s legal representatives are seeking to have Lanez answer specific questions regarding her lawsuit against blogger Milagro Cooper.

The lawsuit, originally filed in October 2024, alleges that Cooper intentionally spread false and damaging information about Megan online. Furthermore, the complaint claims that these defamatory statements were not random but were made at the direct instruction or influence of Lanez. Megan has accused Cooper of using social media platforms to circulate harmful misinformation about her, including an AI-generated video that was deliberately designed to damage her reputation. Megan’s attorneys believe that Lanez played a role in orchestrating or facilitating these defamatory actions, despite the fact that he is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence for shooting her in 2020.

Due to the serious nature of these claims, Megan’s legal team has emphasized the necessity of questioning Lanez under oath. In their court filing, they argued that his testimony is crucial in order to fully investigate the blogger’s involvement, as well as to determine whether there was a direct link between her actions and Lanez’s alleged interference. By having Lanez deposed, Megan’s attorneys hope to obtain critical information that could strengthen their case against Cooper and possibly uncover further instances of defamation or harassment.

Notably, Lanez has not formally opposed the request to be deposed. This lack of resistance may suggest that he is willing to cooperate with the legal proceedings or that his legal team does not see an advantage in contesting the motion. In response to the filing, Judge Cecilia M. Altonaga granted approval for the deposition to move forward. The judge ruled that the questioning could take place via videoconference or any other mutually agreed-upon method, which would accommodate Lanez’s current incarceration while still allowing him to provide testimony.

The defamation lawsuit took a more aggressive turn in December 2024, when Megan chose to amend her original complaint. In this updated legal filing, she alleged that Lanez remained involved in the ongoing harassment against her, despite being behind bars. This claim suggests that Lanez may have continued to exert influence over social media campaigns or individuals, such as Cooper, who were working to spread negative narratives about Megan.

In addition to pursuing legal action against Cooper, Megan has taken other measures to protect herself from further harassment or potential interference from Lanez. She successfully obtained a restraining order against him, which is set to remain in effect until 2030. This legal order ensures that Lanez cannot directly or indirectly contact her, harass her, or involve himself in actions that could cause her further distress.

The situation remains highly contentious, as Megan Thee Stallion continues to navigate the legal complexities surrounding both her defamation lawsuit and the lasting effects of her past relationship with Lanez. Her decision to take legal action underscores her determination to fight back against misinformation and cyber harassment, especially in a digital era where false narratives can quickly spread and cause lasting damage. With the deposition of Lanez now approved, the case is expected to progress further as new details come to light regarding the extent of his alleged involvement.

As the legal battle unfolds, fans and observers are closely watching how these developments will impact both Megan’s reputation and the broader conversation surrounding defamation, online harassment, and accountability in the entertainment industry.
