Meghan Markle has once again shown her unwavering support for Prince Harry as he wraps up his time at the 2025 Invictus Games.
The Duchess of Sussex took to Instagram on Sunday to share a heartfelt public message for her husband, writing, “So proud of you,” alongside a clip from the closing ceremony.
A Show of Support from Afar
While Meghan, 43, was present for the opening days of the Invictus Games in Vancouver, she returned home to Montecito, California, a few days before the event concluded.
The decision for her early departure was reportedly pre-planned so she could reunite with their two children—Archie, five, and Lilibet, three.
A source close to the Invictus Games confirmed, “This was always planned. Meghan is going home to be with her children. This is Prince Harry’s event, and she is there to support him, but this was planned.”
Although she couldn’t be there for the final moments of the Games, Meghan made sure to show her appreciation for Harry’s work.
Thoughtful Souvenirs for Archie and Lilibet
Upon her return to Montecito, Meghan gave her followers a glimpse of the special souvenirs she brought back for their children. In an Instagram post, she shared a selection of treats from Canada, including chocolate bear paws, nougat, and Timbits—bite-sized donuts from the popular Canadian chain Tim Hortons. She also picked up personalized green jerseys as a keepsake from the Invictus Games.
Alongside the post, she wrote, “A taste of Canada and The Invictus Games for our little ones!”—a sweet nod to her thoughtfulness as a mother.
A Romantic Valentine’s Tribute
With Prince Harry away during Valentine’s Day, Meghan made sure to express her love and admiration for her husband in a heartfelt tribute.
Sharing a never-before-seen photo, she wrote, “Back home taking care of our babies, and missing my Valentine, as he continues on at the Invictus Games, changing lives and reminding all of us of the power of healing and resilience through these incredible veterans and their families. Beyond proud of my husband and what he’s created.”
Adding a personal touch, she concluded with, “My love, I will eat burgers & fries and fish & chips with you forever. Thank you for you. #LoveWins.”
Prince Harry’s Final Days at the Invictus Games
As Meghan waited for Harry’s return to Montecito, the Duke of Sussex was surrounded by strong support during the final days of the Games. He was joined by Danish royals Prince Joachim and Princess Marie, as well as Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who publicly thanked Harry for his dedication to the Invictus Games and his service to the veteran community.
The closing ceremony was an emotional moment for Harry, as he reflected on the impact the Games have had on wounded servicemen and women worldwide. His powerful message about resilience, healing, and community was met with a standing ovation, reaffirming the significance of the initiative he founded nearly a decade ago.
A Reunion in Montecito
With the 2025 Invictus Games now concluded, Prince Harry is set to return to Montecito, where he and Meghan will reunite as a family. The Duchess’s public message not only highlighted her pride in Harry’s work but also served as a reminder of the strong bond they share, despite the challenges of their busy schedules.
As they settle back into their California home, the couple will no doubt enjoy some much-needed family time with Archie and Lilibet, celebrating Harry’s achievements and the success of another unforgettable Invictus Games.
