Paul, who worked for the Royal Family for 21 years, claimed that there currently is “no way in” for the Sussexes to make peace with the Wales family.
Speaking to Closer, Paul claimed: “The door of Adelaide Cottage is shut – and there is no way in for Meghan and Harry.
“William knows that Harry can’t be trusted and he doesn’t want any more upset in his family.”
The relationship between the two couples has been strained in recent years, following Meghan and Harry making a string of bombshell claims about the royal family.
The Duke of Sussex visited the UK in May for a three-day trip but declined to meet up with either King Charles or his older brother.
A spokesperson for Prince Harry stated he had wanted to see King Charles but wasn’t able to due to the monarch’s “full programme” – but made no mention of seeing his brother.
This follows Harry slamming the royal family in his bombshell Spare memoir where he claimed William ‘attacked’ him in a row over Meghan.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also spilled details about the royal family in their Harry & Meghan Netflix documentary.
In the Netflix series, Harry said: “I think for so many people in the family, especially the men, there could be a temptation or an urge to marry someone who would fit the mould as opposed to someone you are destined to be with.
“The difference between making a decision with your head or your heart.”
Viewers said his comments could have been perceived as a jibe at his brother’s wife Princess Kate – and reportedly left Wills fuming.
To the shock of many it also told stories of Meghan’s “jarring” first meeting with Princess Kate and Harry making digs at his father.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex now live in California with Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three, after stepping down as senior working royals in 2020.
Prince William is said to be “fiercely protective” over Princess Kate, who is currently undergoing preventative cancer treatment.
Former BBC Royal Correspondent Jennie Bond revealed that the Prince of Wales is “stubborn” when it comes to his family and caring for his wife.
Jennie told Fabulous that they remain a “strong couple”, and William is devoted to “best friend” Kate and her health, following her shock cancer diagnosis.
She said: “William has never been more protective of his wife and children as now.
“He is taking special care to prioritise her health and the welfare of his young family, even in the face of some people saying he should be taking on more public engagements.
“William can be stubborn, and perhaps never more so than when it comes to his family and their privacy.
“I think it’s a great tribute to Catherine, and their love, that he is utterly focused on her welfare.
“They must both have reflected on those wedding vows especially the words ‘in sickness and in health.’
“It is often the hard times that make a marriage even stronger.”
Jennie added of their relationship: “She is his rock, his lynchpin and his best friend.
“And their marriage is a solid one and well worth a little celebration.”
