when Martha Stewart playfully pushed her away during an interview, clarifying that the lifestyle maven was simply joking.

when host Andy Cohen asked Barrymore to reflect on the awkward exchange.

The 49-year-old *50 First Dates* actress assured Cohen and the audience that Stewart, 83, was just being playful 

when she pushed her away after Barrymore caressed her back and arm during a conversation about what makes Stewart feel “soft and gooey” on the inside. 

Barrymore, ever the good sport, responded by falling back onto the couch and joking, “I know … although, the way it’s going with men, though, Martha, I’m not so sure anymore.”
