After months of silence following his departure from *MasterChef* last year, Gregg Wallace has made a much-anticipated return to social media. 

The former host of the long-running cooking show, 60, had stepped down from his role 

while the BBC conducted an investigation into multiple allegations of inappropriate behaviour.

In the wake of his resignation, which followed claims from 13 individuals, 

including Newsnight presenter Kirsty Wark, Wallace faced accusations of sexualized and inappropriate behaviour while filming. 

The allegations ranged from removing his shirt in front of a female colleague under the guise of a “fashion show” to making unwelcome comments about his personal sex life to others on set. 

Gregg Wallace had co-hosted *MasterChef* since 2005, establishing himself as one of British television’s most recognizable figures. However, the allegations led to a series of investigations, and the weight of these claims prompted him to resign from his position. As the controversy unfolded, Wallace maintained a social media silence, with his last post dating back to November 27, just a day before the allegations came to light. 

Now, several months later, Wallace has surprised his followers with a return to social media. On a recent post to his Instagram page, he shared a video tutorial on how to make protein pancakes, accompanied by a caption reading, “Easy n Healthy Gregg Wallace Health.” This return to content creation was met with enthusiasm from fans, who flooded the comments section with supportive messages. One fan wrote, “Nice to see you back Greg. We’ve missed your 7am stories!!” Another said, “Good to see you back, hope you’re doing marvellously,” reflecting the relief and excitement of those who had missed the TV personality.

While his social media comeback was welcomed by many, it comes amid ongoing investigations into his alleged misconduct. Wallace has faced significant backlash over his earlier response to the allegations. Initially, he dismissed the claims, implying that many of them came from “middle-class women of a certain age.” He even suggested that sexual remarks and innuendo were commonplace among women on the *MasterChef* set. His comments sparked a public outcry, with notable figures, including TV presenter Ulrika Jonsson and Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, condemning his remarks. 

Wallace later apologized for the controversial statements, attributing them to a challenging mental state. “I wasn’t in a good headspace when I posted it. I’ve been under a huge amount of stress, a lot of emotion,” he admitted. However, the apology did little to quell the ongoing controversy surrounding him.

Among the individuals who have come forward with allegations is a woman named Lisa, who worked on the BBC show *Eat Well for Less* in 2015. She alleged that Wallace had touched her inappropriately during a filming session in a supermarket, claiming that he brushed against her in a way that felt intentionally invasive. Lisa described feeling uncomfortable and disgusted by the interaction, saying that it was “slimy” and that she was forced to continue working despite her discomfort. Although she reported the incident to a senior colleague, she claimed that no action was taken at the time.

Another woman, known only as Sarah, came forward with a separate allegation involving an event in 2022. Sarah claimed that Wallace made unwelcome advances, including asking her to hold his hand as they walked to the car park. She also stated that he persisted in trying to get close to her, despite her apparent reluctance. Additionally, Wallace has faced accusations of making inappropriate comments about his sex life and persistently questioning a gay woman about her dating experiences.

In response to these allegations, Wallace’s lawyers have categorically denied the claims, asserting that it is “entirely false” to suggest he engaged in sexually harassing behaviour.

The investigation into Wallace’s conduct is ongoing, and the future of his television career remains uncertain. His return to social media, though welcomed by fans, comes at a time when the allegations against him are still being scrutinized. As the public waits for further developments, Gregg Wallace’s actions and the ongoing investigation will likely remain in the spotlight for the foreseeable future.
