Savannah Guthrie recently shared a memorable encounter with Khloé Kardashian 

that has stuck with her for years, revealing how the moment shaped her admiration for the reality star. 

During a candid interview with Andy Cohen on SiriusXM’s *TODAY Show Radio* town hall, 

Guthrie reflected on a particularly embarrassing experience she had early on in her career as a host on the *Today* show.

While recounting her most awkward moments, Guthrie opened up about a segment featuring Khloé, 40, that she will never forget.

“I can’t even remember the details, but I know the producers at the time, none of whom are here today, really wanted me to ask and I was very embarrassed to ask such a question,” Guthrie explained. “So, I did what any naive, green anchor would do, which is leave it to the last.”

Guthrie went on to describe the tension she felt leading up to the moment. On the *Today* show, there’s a strict time limit known as the “hard out,” meaning the segment must end at a precise moment. This left Guthrie with mere seconds to address the sensitive question before the show would cut to a commercial break.

As the clock ticked down, Guthrie made a quick decision: “Khloé, and just real quickly, in the seconds we have, there’ve been some stories that Robert Kardashian is not your father. Is he?” she asked, barely squeezing in the question with only seconds remaining. She was bracing for a difficult response when Khloé, in true professional fashion, answered gracefully, “Yep, I know. Nothing to it.” Guthrie, visibly relieved, quickly wrapped up the segment with, “and we’ll be right back.”
