After a nearly six year long engagement, Eddie Murphy and Paige Butcher are now finally husband and wife.

The couple married in an intimate ceremony in Anguilla on Tuesday, July 9, People reports. 

The lovebirds exchanged vows in front of tight-knit friends and family, with the bride, 44, wowing in a stunning Mira Zwillinger wedding gown.

The groom, 63, opted for a crisp white suit by Brioni. 

A photo obtained by the outlet of the ceremony capture the couple, standing beneath an arc of white flowers, as guests watch on in the back.

Paige holds a bouquet of white flowers as she stands beside her spouse. Her exquisite dress clung to her physique and a long veil cascaded from her hair.

Murphy and Paige’s love story began over 10 years. They first started dating in 2012 before becoming engaged in 2018. 

They have daughters Izzy Oona, eight, and son Max Charles, five, together. 

While the marriage marks Paige’s first time walking down the aisle, it is the second time Eddie has said ‘I do.’ 

He was previously married to actress Nicole Mitchell Murphy, 56, from 1993 to 2006. They share Bria, 34, Myles, 31, Shayne, 29, Zola, 24, and Bella, 21.

He is also dad to Eric, 34, from his relationship with former girlfriend Paulette McNeely; Christian, 33, from his relationship with Tamara Hood, and Angel, 17, whom he shares with former Spice Girl Melanie ‘Mel B’ Brown, 49.

Eddie and Paige’s nuptials come over a week after the actor referred to his long-time fiancee as his wife.

The Shrek franchise actor used the word ‘wife’ twice during an appearance on The New York Times podcast The Interview.

The Hollywood icon was promoting his new film Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F.

At one point during the chat with host David Marchese, the Beverly Hills Cop star was talking about how early in his career, Oscar-winner Marlon Brando wanted to meet him when he was about 20.

The former Saturday Night Live star then revealed he was ‘out of touch’ with today’s up-and-coming stars.

‘I used to be so hip, I used to know who everybody was, and now there’s just so much stuff,’ said Murphy.

‘[I] ask my wife, ‘Who’s this person?” Murphy explained, adding, ‘I don’t even know what’s going on.’

The red carpet fixture revealed that their life together is similar to those of many families.

‘I’m not ashamed to say it,’ he said, ‘Every night at 6 o’clock, when I eat dinner, I watch Steve Harvey and Family Feud.

‘On Tuesdays, I watch The Masked Singer.’

Then he dropped the note-worthy descriptor once again: ‘My wife and I, we watch all of those shows, the singing competitions and that kind of stuff. … Last year, I watched all of The Golden Bachelor,’ he said.

Paige previously spoke about how ‘sweet and romantic’ Eddie is in rare remarks made about him on the red carpet at the 2020 Golden Globes.

When asked what he whispered to her on the red carpet, Eddie told Extra: ‘I told her how wonderful she looks.’

Paige added: ‘He actually says that kind of stuff all the time. He’s very, very sweet and romantic.’
