Ant and Dec were left in hysterics over Simon’s reaction as he covered his face. However, the act was far from over as hundreds of people dressed as Simon entered the stage to sing along. Speaking backstage, Ant admitted: “It’s like a nightmare I had once… make it stop, make it stop!”

After the choir act, called Simply Simon, performed judge Simon admitted he was “very overwhelmed” and “embarrassed” but soon exclaimed the group had four yeses as he rushed on stage to greet them all. Simon quipped afterwards: “That’s how you get a yes!”

It comes as Britain’s Got Talent is in a huge ITV schedule shake-up next week. The hit competition show typically airs on Saturday evenings with occasional double bills on Sundays for the launch of the series or finals. However, next week, Britain’s Got Talent will be pulled from its usual Saturday schedule and will instead air on Sunday night.

Instead of getting Britain’s Got Talent on Saturday 11 May, In With A Shout and Casino Royale will be airing from 7pm until 10:40pm. However, despite not airing on Saturday evening, BGT will instead air on Sunday 12 May at 7:40pm. It comes as the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will be airing on Saturday 11 May from 8pm until 11:55pm on BBC One, where Olly Alexander will represent the United Kingdom and perform hit track Dizzy.

During the latest instalment of Britain’s Got Talent, hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly experienced their own “nightmare” as they were faced with a surprise audition that left them pleading “make it stop.”

Judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and Bruno Tonioli were taken aback when a montage of Simon suddenly appeared on stage. The real Simon was left puzzled as a man dressed as him started singing The Best by Tina Turner. Ant and Dec couldn’t contain their laughter as Simon covered his face in embarrassment.

But the performance didn’t end there – a whole choir of people dressed as Simon joined the man on stage to sing along. Ant joked backstage, “It’s like a nightmare I had once… make it stop, make it stop!” Despite Simon’s initial shock, he was ultimately impressed and admitted feeling “very overwhelmed” and “embarrassed” by the act. The group, known as Simply Simon, received four yeses and Simon himself rushed on stage to congratulate them, proclaiming, “That’s how you get a yes!”

Viewers took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the hilarious act, with many praising the Secret Simon Choir and calling for them to receive the golden buzzer. The Simon choir was deemed “absolute genius” and left fans in stitches over Simon’s priceless reaction.

Next week, Britain’s Got Talent will be airing on Sunday night instead of its usual Saturday slot due to a schedule shake-up. While BGT typically airs on Saturdays with occasional Sunday double bills, next week will see the show move to Sunday in light of the Eurovision Song Contest airing on Saturday evening. Despite the schedule change, fans can still catch all the BGT action on Sunday 12 May at 7:40pm.
