Britain’s ugliest dog Peggy got her red carpet moment as Ryan Reynolds held her in his arms for the Deadpool & Wolverine film sneak peek in London.
The pug and Chinese Crested cross will make her A-list film debut after bagging a coveted role in the upcoming flick, starring Ryan and Hugh Jackman.
Peggy will star as the furry sidekick of Ryan’s titular character Deadpool – and she’s called Dogpool.
Taking to the red carpet for a sneak peak event at the Eventim Apollo on Thursday, Peggy sported the costume she wears in the film.
Peggy was voted as Britain’s ugliest dog last year and is owned by Holly Middleton, from Leven, East Yorkshire.
‘It’s love at first sight,’ Ryan Reynolds told Empire of his love for Peggy. ‘She loves Dogpool.
‘She feels like the animal manifestation of Wade Wilson.’
And owner Holly is proud of her pooch, despite her finding fame for her less-than-adorable looks.
Speaking to the BBC last year, Holly said: ‘We tend to forget Peggy isn’t your standard looking dog and we are very aware some people would refer to Peggy as ugly. It’s always in a humorous way and we don’t take offence, and neither does she.’
‘Some people find Peggy’s unusual appearance strange, and in rare cases off-putting.
‘Despite Peggy winning the ugliest dog in the UK title, we think she is beautiful both inside and out, and wouldn’t change her for the world.’
At the premiere as she posed alongside Ryan and Hugh, Emma Corin commanded attention in a bold plunging jacket.
The actor – who identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns – looked sensational as they went braless under the buckled oversized jacket from Schiaparelli SS24 Couture.
A pair of black trousers were added to the dramatic ensemble and the star ditched heels in favour of a pair of coordinated cowboy boots.
Emma accessorised with Cartier jewellery and wore a glamorous palette of makeup for the evening.
Meanwhile Ryan, who is reprising his role as Deadpool, cut a dapper figure in a light blue suit which he teamed with a white T-shirt and suede grey shoes.
Also dressing smart, Ryan, who portrays Wolverine, turned heads in a navy suit which he wore with a beige jumper and white trainers.
Emma plays Cassandra Nova in the third entry in the franchise, with the character possessing both telekinetic and telepathic powers.
Elsewhere Michelle Heaton showed off her amazing figure in a red sequin long sleeved mini dress as she posed for photos on the red carpet.
She put on a leggy display in a pair of silver dazzling heels and toted her belongings around in a glittering gold handbag.
The singer and actress styled her long tresses in a neat quiff and loose waves as she flashed her gorgeous smile for cameras.
